MIM #142

With the guests departed I thought I'd have some very quiet time to myself this afternoon and have a play with this week's Make it Monday.
I recently ordered PTI's embroidered blooms and wanted an excuse to use it, which prompted this design.

Papertrey Ink - November Blog Hop

The subject for this month's Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink could easily become addictive. How cute are these little paper houses - but they sure are time suckers! I went down to my crafting area about 3 hours ago and have only just finished this very simple attempt.
The card started as plain white colored with Spun sugar distress stain and then stamped with PTI Background basics: Christmas.
The windows are Soft stone cardstock treated with the clear embossing powder/glitter combo from last week's MIM with the window frame drawn in with a copic after embossing.

MIM #141 - 3

Amazing how far a few teaspoons of clear embossing powder and glitter will go! This is the 3rd card and I've barely put a dent in in.
Heather's snowman looked so sweet that I thought I'd have a go using the "made of snow" mini set.
Loved the tip to outline with the pale blue copic (which I happened to have). It really helps him stand out.

MIM #141 - 2

I thought I'd have another go at this weeks Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink, mainly because I have a little pot of glitter/clear embossing powder and I'm not sure what to do with it!

I used clear embossing powder for the trees and then used distress inks over the top to make the background. The houses are treated with the clear embossing powder/glitter combo - although, as ever, you really can't tell it from the photo!
I've realised I have a complete lack of Thanksgiving sentiments. This is from a tag-its set, and they're the only ones I have. Any suggestions?

MIM 141

Just a quick card for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday challenge.

I don't have "heat and stick" embossing powder so I mixed prisma glitter right in with some clear embossing powder and used that directly onto the versamark.
It's hard to see the glitter in my photos, but it's there. This one shows it a little better..

Love this stamp set (PTI Meadow Greens). It practically does all the work for you. There's even a handy little marker on the stamps to let you line up the images (which I very nearly succeeded in doing!)

MIM #140

I really don't have time to be making cards as I'm doing a craft fair tomorrow but I needed a break from the sewing machine so I thought I'd have a go at this weeks Make it Monday at Papertrey Ink.
So here's a very simple, 1 layer card using the small ink cubes to give a gradual colour progression.
