PTI November blog hop

I know the inspiration picture for this months blog hop at Papertrey Ink is just crying out to be made into a Christmas card, but I decided to go a different route.
Blog Hop Inspiration
It's lovely isn't it. I wish my mantle looked like this at Christmas. I decided to use the new Confetti toss stamp set to replicate the bauble swag. I stamped the outline shapes and then coloured them with distress markers. This isn't a decision I'd make next time as the glossy accents caused a few of them to puddle, but (glass half full approach) I quite like the irregularity. Definitely not baubles though.
So instead I turned it into a get well card for my Father-in-law with a bit of silver tape (stolen from my husband's supplies in the basement - maybe air duct tape?) stuck on white card and embossed with Darice's diamond plate embossing folder.

PTI MIM #232

An early start on this weeks Make It Monday because, let's face it, there's going to be very little time later in the week.
I used the spruce and sprigs stamp set, and it was perfect for this technique. The "giving" was the largest one I could find - I can't believe none of my "thanks" sets have a give or giving as part of the sentiments. Even this was thanksgiving with the first part masked off.

MIM #231 - Motif building

I was quite sad that we wouldn't get a "create along" challenge with this month's release at Papertrey Ink, but it turned out OK as Betsy's Make it Monday challenge this week is great.
I started with the largest image from "snowflake sparkle" and worked my way out using Black and pinefeather inks and stamps mostly from the holiday folk set.
While I wait for my tremendous tags die to arrive, I made do with Tiny tags. The only thing from this years stamp-a-faire set I really regret not getting is the tinier tags set - any chance of it ever being released on its own PTI?
