MIM #289 - Building wreaths

I started off exactly as directed for this week's Make it Monday challenge at Papertrey ink, and then it took a slight detour.
I stamped out the wreath using (mostly) images from PTI Twig wreath set, but then didn't like the position on the page. Rather than starting again, I cut 3/4 inch strips from the image stuck them onto another cardbase.
The sentiment is die cut a number of times, in different colors and slightly offset when stuck together.

PTI June Blog Hop

Playing along with this month's Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink.

Here's the inspiration picture

And  here's my card

There's a fair chance that every card I make from this point on will use the stencil from the new Herb garden set. These were what made the set irresistible to me and they certainly don't disappoint.
I sponged pinefeather ink through the stencil, and then added die cuts from the beautiful berries - spring set.
The sentiment is heat embossed using stamps from ways to say - Happy birthday.

PTI Create along June 2017

My inspiration card for this month's Create along with us challenge was an easy decision. As soon as I saw this card by Lexi I knew I wanted to try something similar.

Here's the link to Lexi's original post.

With Father's day this weekend I knew I had to make a card for my Dad, but when I have a little more time I shall try this layout again for a birthday card.
I used stamps from PTI's Summer Camp and Ahoy sets, as well as a few extras from Paper Smooches Wicked Nauticool with a little bit of paper piecing to add some contrast, having stuck with a very limited palette.
