PTI March 2013 Blog Hop - Sequins #2

So this is the card I should have made but the ideas only started coming together while I worked on the previous one. I'm thinking of it as my "Chanel" card - houndstooth and a simple square quilt effect from the sequins.

I love the pink and turquoise together - the inks are PTI Hibiscus Burst and Tim Holtz broken china.
I used the background basics tin types to get the grid pattern that I then stuck the sequins onto.
The flower pins were a gift from my sister years ago. They're useless as actual pins as the shafts are too wide so they've been gathering dust in my sewing box until I thought of using them here.
My latest PTI order had arrived when I got home from work and I tried to use one of the banners from the new "To you from me" set but it wasn't quite right so I cut it right down to just the horizontal stripes and used these for the flags.
I still don't know how to "finish" a card - it feels like it needs something more to tie it all together but I'm always afraid that I'll add too much and make it messy so this is where I stopped.

  1. Don't think it needs a thing. Your sequins on the 'Tintype' look fabulous! Love these colors too!
