I've been looking for an excuse to have a play with "perfect pearls" ever since I saw them as part of a demonstration at my local scrapbooking store so this was the perfect opportunity.
My first attempt we'll call "the card that got away". I'm reasonable confident there's a nice card in the idea somewhere but it was so awful I had to start over with totally new ideas.
I knew PTI "Framed out #7" would look great dusted with perfect pearls so I just needed a background for it. I picked up this Hero Arts background stamp at a yard sale a few weeks ago and thought the ovals would compliment the frame (although, now I think about it, background basics - twinkle might also work. Perhaps I'll try that next.....)
All I can think now I've got this made up is how good this could look as a christmas card. Same background stamp; red, green and golds in the perfect pearls and a chrismassy sentiment instead. Is it too early to start making Christmas cards?

Gorgeous card! Love how this turned out. And I think it would be fun for Christmas cards too!
ReplyDeleteYour card is totally awesome - Love how you framed up your sentiment! I also think this would make a great Christmas card and it is never to early to think about your Christmas cards.
