May 2013 Papertrey Blog Hop - Pink Bouquet

Hurrah, a blog hop; not hurrah, all the family are home and it's raining.
As there's no chance I'm going to be able to spend as long playing along today as I would like to I thought I'd start with my favorite color scheme and a rather time consuming approach.
I ordered mini blooms as soon as I saw the blog hop theme, but has to wait for the matching dies to come back into stock. Luckily they arrived a few days ago so I was all set for this.
I cut the "cake" out of plain white card stock and then stuck the bright pink ribbon at the base of each layer. The mini blooms were stamped in PTI Hibiscus burst, Orange zest, Summer sunrise and Ripe avocado and arranged to mimic a floral spray around the cake.
The sentiment is from PTI Simple Sentiments.
It is all mounted on a 5 1/2" square card that I scored at 1/4 inch all the way round the outside to form a frame.
