MIM #205

February 2017 edit - I picked this as my favorite card. I've made lots of cards I like but this was just one that came together so easily, and I've used it as a base for lots of subsequent ones.

Lizzie showed us a great technique for this weeks Make it Monday at Papertrey Ink. Called "Confetti stamping" it really is just filling in space with lots of little images. I've done something similar before for a valentines card so instead of masking (which would be quicker as you don't have to worry so much about positioning at the edges) I stayed true to the brief and drew an outline to work inside. I'm glad I did as it gives a much softer effect.
I hate to tell you how many different stamp sets and inks I ended up using, but the sentiment is from Topiary Trio.
As I finished up the card I thought how great it would be to use this same layout for a child's birthday card, just using a number instead of the letter. I always struggle with cards that aren't too cutesy for the nephews so I'm off to try this out for an up-coming 9th birthday.
