Nichole has picked a really lovely inspiration picture for this months blog hop at Papertrey Ink.
All those lovely shapes and colours gave so many different ways to go.
I started off several different times, trying to find a way of creating layers while still keeping to a single layer card and eventually opted to use emboss resist.

I used so many different stamp sets for this card - my desk was chaos by the time I'd finished. I used images from Doodlie doo, Out on a limb and Embroidered blooms with clear embossing; sponged mint julep, aqua mist, hibiscus burst, autumn rose and scarlet jewel around the images and then ironed off the embossing powder.
Then I stamped a few more images over the top, using tropical teal and scarlet jewel, gave the whole card a few squirts of Mr. Huey's in opaque white to add some speckles and clouds and finally used the distress marker spritzer and a dark brown pen.
The sentiment in the split is from the Life set, and the die cut life is Wet paint II
