PTI MIM #259 - Ombre clusters

Love the inspiration for this week's Make it Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink. Dawn asked us to use clusters of stamping in graduating colours and different sized images.
I went simple, sort of.  Instead of using stamps I cut 4 different sized circles from various die sets (PTI limitless layers, a set of stacked circle, a circle punch, you get the idea) out of craft foam and stuck these to acrylic blocks to use as my stamps.
I stamped the largest circle with PTI pinefeather, the next with Distress Pine needles, then PTI Ocean tides and finally the smallest with PTI aqua mist.
Sticking with the ombre idea I used PTI ombre sentiments, stamped in Pinefeather or embossed in white on pinefeather card, to build up the sentiment.
I added a few little enamel accents using Nuvo crystal effects in Neptune. These are new to me and I just love them, although I desperately need a tutorial on placement of enamel dots or similar embellishments as I spent a good half hour adding, taking them away again, moving them all around trying to decide where to place them. Ridiculous!

  2. What a fabulous card Sarah! Love the graphic feel to this card and am totally in love with how you did your sentiment! I have that stamp set and am so going to have to try this...thank you for the inspiration! And I totally know what you mean about the placement of dots, sequins, etc...that's usually the longest part of a card for me too!

  3. Sarah, your card turned out awesome and enjoyed reading how you created it. I'm with you regarding sequin/enamel dot placement. Remember odd numbers and triangular placement, bit it's still challenging for me. Love the way you used the Ombre sentiment!
