I thought I'd have a go at transforming a card I loved this week, rather than my usual picks from the reject drawer, but I found it rather hard to move on when I like the original. The card I used as my start point has a shadow die cut over an ombre base.
I wasn't happy with the plain white underneath so I did a very quick watercolour wash in the gaps, and used the same wash on the sentiment strip.
For my transformation I decided to stack the shadows, and use them to recreate the ombre effect instead. I think I might need to keep going next time and fill the whole space of the medallion but PTI card stock is so thick I'd have ended up with a card too thick to post! Cheap card stock might be the answer (here, if nowhere else!)
