Weeks and weeks since my last post - holidays, weddings and preparing for both have kept me far too busy to craft. But now I'm back so I thought I'd start warming up for PTIs craft-a-faire with a play at this months Blog Hop.
Here's the inspiration picture
and this is where I went with it
I'll be honest - the twine was an afterthought and I liked it better before I added it, but it's there to disguise a splodge! I'm hoping to have another go at the weaving twine idea at the weekend - hopefully with better results.
The little motif is from wee things, and was stamped in scarlet jewel, melon berry, harvest gold and brown inks. This bit I love.

I LOVE the twine! And those fun stamps you used are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the twine (and such a good idea to use it to cover an 'oops'!). The more I looked at the inspiration photo, the more I loved those colors. I'm glad you used Melon Berry. I wish I had!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the twine weaving is genius! Of course they were going to weave with those lovely yarns as soon as they were dry.
ReplyDeleteLove the woven twine!
ReplyDeleteI certainly understand hiding booboos as I did the same thing on my hop card today!! I think your card is fantastic, Sarah! Enjoy the hop!! Hugs, Darnell
