PTI August Blog Hop

Weeks and weeks since my last post - holidays, weddings and preparing for both have kept me far too busy to craft. But now I'm back so I thought I'd start warming up for PTIs craft-a-faire with a play at this months Blog Hop.
Here's the inspiration picture
August Blog Hop Inspiration
and this is where I went with it
I'll be honest - the twine was an afterthought and I liked it better before I added it, but it's there to disguise a splodge! I'm hoping to have another go at the weaving twine idea at the weekend - hopefully with better results.
The little motif is from wee things, and was stamped in scarlet jewel, melon berry, harvest gold and brown inks. This bit I love.

  2. I like how you used the twine (and such a good idea to use it to cover an 'oops'!). The more I looked at the inspiration photo, the more I loved those colors. I'm glad you used Melon Berry. I wish I had!!!

  3. I think the twine weaving is genius! Of course they were going to weave with those lovely yarns as soon as they were dry.
